Blood is a fluid connective tissue which transports materials like nutrients,wastes etc. from one body part to other.

Blood consists of the following components:

Red Blood Corpuscles:

The RBC,they contain the haemoglobin and help in the transportation of oxygen.

White Blood Corpuscles:

They provide immunity to diseases and produce antibodies which kill the microbe causing the disease

Platelets:

The platelets of the blood contains substances like salt molecules,energy,lipids etc

Plasma:

The fluid matrix of the blood,all the cells are suspended in it and it contains many substances of importance

There are four components of blood :-

1. Plasma

2. Red blood cells

3. White blood cells

4. Platelets

$\underline \mathfrak \blue{1. \: PLASMA - }$ Plasma is the liquid part of blood. It is colourless liquid which consist of 90%water and some dissolved substances such as protein, digested food, common salt and waste products.

$\underline \mathfrak \red{2. \: RED \: BLOOD \: CELLS - }$Red blood cells are the one of the component of blood which helps in the transportation of oxygen from lungs to all cells of the body. It is red in colour due to the presence of haemoglobin.

$\underline \mathfrak \blue{3. WHITE \: BLOOD \: CELLS -}$White blood cells are the another component of blood which fight against infection and protect the body from diseases. That's why White blood cells are also called soldiers of the body.
