BOHR'S ATOMIC MODEL

Neil Bohr's explain the following things in their atomic model these are as follows:-

✴ electron revolve around the nucleus in their fixed level.

✴ energy level is denoted by k, l, m, n, o, p...

✴ when electron reduced in their fixed energy level then there will be no loss or gain of energy and electrons are known as in stationary state or ground state.

✴ when electron jumps from lower energy level to higher energy level then there will be gain of energy and electrons are known as in excited state.

✴ when electron jumps from higher to lower energy level then there will be loss of energy and electron are known as in deexcited state.

In atomic physics, the Bohr model depicts an atom as a small, positively charged nucleus surrounded by electrons. These electrons travel in circular orbits around the nucleus—similar in structure to the solar system, except electrostatic forces rather than gravity provide attraction.

Main Points of the Bohr Model:

Electrons orbit the nucleus in orbits that have a set size and energy. The energy of the orbit is related to its size. The lowest energy is found in the smallest orbit. Radiation is absorbed or emitted when an electron moves from one orbit to another.
