Answer : According to Bohr Atomic model, a small positively charged nucleus is surrounded by revolving negatively charged electrons in fixed orbits. it was concluded that electron will have more energy if it is located away from the nucleus whereas the electrons will have less energy if it located near the nucleus.

In 1913 bohr explain theory consisting of a small dense nucleus surrounded by electrons . The bohrs model of atom was based on Planck quantum theory of radiation.The bohrs theory work for only hydrogen because it considers interaction between electron and nucleus.

He explained that electrons revolve around the nucleus like planets revolve around the sun.It fails to explain the spectra of ions....hope it will help you
