Archimedes Principle states that ---
When an object is fully or partially immersed in a fluid, it experiences a buoyant force which is equal to the weight of fluid displaced by it
A boat floats in water due to buoyant force. When the boat is lowered into water gradually it keeps on displacing water. The buoyant force also keeps on increasing.
Now according to Archimedes Principle, buoyant force is equal to weight of water displaced by the boat. The boat floats when the weight of water displaced by the boat is equal to the weight of boat

When an object is immersed in water, it experiences a force called buoyant force which is equal to the weight of water displaced. ---Archimedes principle.
A boat floats on water due to buoyant force which works on the principle of Archimedes.
When the boat is immersed in water, it displaces water and the buoyant force increases. The boat floats when the buoyant force is equal to weight of the water displaced by the boat according to Archimedes principle
