Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle states that to determine both the position and velocity at the same time is unattainable. The more we know about one, the less knowledge we have about the other.
- This is applicable only at an atomic level.
- The principle arises from the wave-particle duality.
- It can be expressed in terms of a particle's momentum and position. The product of the uncertainties in the momentum and the position of the particle equals h/(4pi).
