The April Theses were first announced in a speech in two meetings on 17 April 1917 (4 April according to the old Russian Calendar). Some believe he based this on Trotsky's Theory of Permanent Revolution. They were subsequently published in the Bolshevik newspaper Pravda
The April Theses were a series of ten directives issued the Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin upon his return to Petrograd from his exile in Switzerland via Germany and  Finland.
Once through Germany, Lenin continued by ferry to Sweden, and the remainder of the journey through Scandinavia was subsequently arranged by Swedish communists Otto Grimlund and Ture Nerman. On 16 April (3 April according to the old Russian Calendar), 1917, Lenin arrived by train to a tumultuous reception at Finland Station in Petrograd.

Explanation:

In April 1917, the Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin returned to Russia from his exile. He and the Bolsheviks had opposed the war since 1914. Now he felt that it was time for soviets

to take over power. He declared that the war to be brought to a close, land to be transferred to the peasants and banks to be nationalised. These three demands were Lenin’s‘AprilTheses’.

hope it helps!!
