• Secondary reproductive organs in female are uterine tubes vagina, Vulva , vestibular glands.

• ᵗʰᵉ ᶠᵉᵐᵃˡᵉ ᵍᵉⁿᶦᵗᵃˡ ᵗʳᵃᶜᵏ ᶜᵒⁿˢᶦˢᵗˢ ᵒᶠ Fallopian tube, uterus, Vagina.

• Female genital tract provides the 'site for fertilization' and 'site for development of embryo'.

Reproductive organs are located in "Pelvic region"

Mons Pubis :-

Cushion of fatty tissue covered by skin and pubic hairs.

→ also called mons veneris.

Labia Majora :-

fleshy fold of tissue, which extend down from the mons pubis and surrounded the vaginal opening.

→ contains sebaceous glands.

→ homologous with the Scrotum in male.

Labio Minora :-

pair of folds of tissue under the Labia Majora.

→ devoid of fat

→ Anterior side - covers the clitoris

posterior Side - fuse across the midline

→ homologous to the 'Ventral aspect of the Penis'

Clitoris :-

Tiny finger like structure.

→ small cylindrical erectile body.

→ Analog to the ' Penis in the male'

Vestibule :-

Triangular space bounded anteriorly by Clitoris, posteriorly by Fourchette And on either side by labia Minora.

Urethral opening is present in Vestibule.

Hymen :-

The opening of vagina is often covered partially by a membrane called Hymen.

→ Mucus membrane fold

→ The hymen is often torn During the first coitus (intercourse).

→ in fact, the presence or absence of hymen is not reliable indicator of Virginity cuz, in some women the hymen persists even after coitus.

Note - Fourchette : on the posterior side two lips of labia Minora fuse across the midline to form a fold of skin known as Fourchette.
