The interior structure of the Earth is layered in spherical shells, like an onion. These layers can be defined by their chemical and their rheological properties. Earth has an outer silicate solid crust, a highly viscous mantle, a liquid outer core that is much less viscous than the mantle, and a solid inner core.

the interior of the earth is divided into 3 distinct layers namely crust mantle and core

crust. the solid outermost layer of the earth composed of Rocks and Minerals is known as the trust an extremely thin layer is average thickness varies between 8 km to 50 km the craft comprises two distinct layers that is the upper Continental crust or sial and the lower Oceanic crust or sima. the lower crust or Sima is a continuous layer that formes an extremely thin ocean floor. the main minerals of this layer are silica and magnesium. the continental crust or sial forms the uppermost layer of the earth's crust.
Mantle. the Mantle or the mesosphere is the second layer of the earth the average thickness of the Mantle is 2900 km and it is made up of Rocks that of a denser than The crust.
Core. the innermost layer of the Earth is known as the barysphere is about 3500 km and is mainly made up of heavy metals especially in a nickel and iron and is known as nife.
