Explain briefly about tsunami and causes of tsunami

The huge waves caused on a large water body due to underwater earthquakes is called tsunami.
It can also be caused due to underground disturbances of the metallic plates the earth.
Or it can also be caused when a earthquake hits a nearby area of the water body. It can also be caused due a huge tornado crossing over the water body.

Tsunami➫ A great sea wave produced especially by submarine earth movement or volcanic eruption.

♦ It is also called tidal waves.

♦ It is an extremely large wave caused by a violent movement of the earth under the sea.

♦ It travel hundreds of miles over the open sea and cause extensive damage when it encounters land.
