The heterotrophic nutrition is the type of nutrition in which organisms get their sustenance from others.

They are divided into 3 types on basis on which they obtain their food:

Parasitic nutrition-living in other organisms for sustenance & without harming them.

Saprophytic nutrition-absorbing from dead & decay materials

Holozoic nutrition-taking solid food.
