When air at ground level is warmed by sunlight, it rises and cools, a process known as convection. Water vapour in the air condenses into water or ice droplets, which form clouds. ... At ground level, air flows from cool areas, which are high pressure, to warm areas, which are low pressure, causing wind.

Winds are caused by the differences in the atmospheric pressure. When a difference in atmospheric pressure exists, air moves from the higher to the lower pressure area, resulting in winds of various speeds. On a rotating planet, air will also be deflected by the Coriolis effect, except exactly on the equator.

hope this helps u .
