Answer:

Sense of collective belongingness refers to the feeling wherein several diverse group(on the basis of language, religion, caste, race, etc) come together in order to form their own nation, or say, hold their society in unity or preserve their identity.

This term have witnessed in many events like:

French revolution : When small peasants and other poor and some rich group came together to start revolution with an aim to make their own nation without any dissimilarities.

Our own struggle for independence : When people of different villages(who used to speak different language) started to come together with the same aim to get achieved.

Collective belongingness is a main component of nation building. It leads to formation of nation-state.This is very much common in the period of nation building among people.

That's all.
