we use same formula as addition but now the vector which was subtracted is first multiply by scaler -1. and then added

we mathmatucally add vector by

√a2+b2+2abcos0. where a and b are magnitude of vectors a and b and cos 0 is angle between a and b.

graphically we use triangle law and parallogram law or polygon law .
