Digestion of protein begins in stomach where pepsin acts on them in acidic medium. Renin which is also secreted by stomach helps in break down of milk proteins. Pepsin and renin works only in acidic medium(hcl in stomach). Furthur digestion of proteins takes place in small intestine where bile juice secreted by liver turns the liquid alkaline which had become acidic due to action of hcl in stomach. Then pamcreas release pancreatic juice which contains three enzymes trypsin , amylase and lipase. Trypsin digests proteins and lipase digests fats. By this fats and proteins are digested in human body.

Protein digestive follows a very rigid process the purpose is to break down the protein into smaller components, called amino acids,Which are used to rebuild or replace damaged proteins in the body after digestion is complete. There are nine essential amino acid's, which are often referred to as building blocks. The physical act of protein digestions begins in the mouth, when the food containing the protein is Chewed into smaller pieces. The chemical process of protein digestions begins when the food enters the stomach, and it is just part of the process that enables the protein to be broken down into molecules that the body can use
