Legislature, Judiciary, & Executive are considered to be the 3 Pillars of our democracy.  All  together comprise what is called “the Check & Balance” wings to keep the Governance of Indian Democracy on even level.

Explanation:

  • Legislature is paramount insofar that it consists of duly elected members of the people. It is primarily to take into account law keeping public welfare in mind.
  • The executive is the "Cabinet" which is founded on the concept of "principle of joint responsibility" and is regarded as the 'Rulers' who lead the country's destiny. It usually consists of one party or a coalition of parties, that represents the "majority numbers" in the Legislature. The Executive "implements" a single party rule's policies & programs or  "Common Minimum Program" when coalition of parties rule,
  • Judiciary 'ensures" the general rule of law. It even reviews, and approves, the constitutional validity of an enacted legislation passed by the legislature. The judiciary thus has immense accountability, which is very large and unique.
