Viruses are considered to be on the borderline between the microorganisms. This is because viruses exhibit the character of non-living when they are settled on a door knob and when they are floating in the air. In fact they can be crystallized and can be stored in jars for years but when viruses come in contact with a living body so they start showing the characteristics of the Living Organisms. They infect the cell and quickly multiply inside it. That's why viruses are an exception to the cell theory.
