Each year is of about 365.25 days.
We don't consider the 0.25 i.e.6 hours of day for convenience.
Every four years these 6 hours add to make 24 hours of a day.
So, we add an extra day which is 29th February every four years to compensate for the ignored time. Thus, we need leap year in our calender alignment.
