HLO MATE HERE IS UR ANSWER.

⭐. Fullerence are the crystalline allotrophc form of carbon with cage like structure.

.preparaton

  • These are formed by strong heating graphite in an electric arc, in presence of inert gases like He or Ar.

. properties of Fullerence

  • In fullerence , the carbon undergoes sp2 hybridisation.
  • C60 molecule has a shape like soccer ball and called "Bukminster Fullerence".
  • The spherical fullerence are called bucky ball in short.
  • It contains 20 six membered rings and 12 five membered rings.
  • A six membered ring fused with six or five membered ring .
  • But five membered ring can only fuse with six membered rings.
  • Ball shaped fullerence has 60 vertices and each one is occupied by one carbon atom and it is also contains both single and double bonds.
