sex is determined by xx-xy mechanism in humans

it's scientifically correct to say that a male determines the sex of the baby if the x chromosome of male fuses with the x of female the result will be a female (xx)

on the other hand if y chromosome of male fuses with x of female the result will be a male baby(xy)
