Application of pressure to three states of matter i.e. solid, liquid and gas has does not produce same effects.

The solid and liquid states are not compressed easily but gases can be compressed easily.

It is because of the reason that in solids the particles are closely packed by the strong attraction forces comparatively stronger better than in liquids.

The gases are easily compressible because of the same reason that, the particles are loosely held by each other by the weak attraction forces.

HEY!!

______________________________

✔If the molecule has greater force of attraction they are held together rigidly and their molecular motion is restricted.

✔The force of attraction is more for solid than liquid than gases.

✔That means gases move freely, liquids moderately and solid is very very less.

✴For example the molecular motion of Stone, Water and oxygen gas:-

▶▶Oxygen gas is moves faster than liquid water which in turn solid. This shows that force of attraction is different for different states of matter.
