when the body .. any body like a car is moving on the road due to the external force applied on it by the friction of road then if there is a displacement due to the motion then this situation can be said that the word is being done.

When force is applied on an object it results in movement of that object and the work is done. That's why, work=force*distance. eg: Suppose a vehicle starts moving, when it moves it travel some distance and the force is applied on it. In this way, work is done on moving vehicle.
