Carby Amines reaction : Primary Amine's heated when warmed with chloroform and alchohic (KOH) give isocyanides (carbyamines ) .This reaction is called Carby amines reaction .

The reaction is written as follows :

R-NH2 + CHCl 3 +KOH ------------ RNC(carby Amine) + 3KCl +3 H2O.
