HERE IS YOUR ANSWER....

cell division is the process in which the parent cell divides, give rise to two or more daughter cells. It is an essential biological process in many organisms. It is the means used by multicellular organisms in order to grow, reproduce and replenish (repair).
.
.
--different phases of cell division are :
1..prophase
2..metaphase
3..anaphase
4..telophase
.
.
--their significance :
1.Prophase- prophase is important because this is when chrometin becomes chromosomes, so the right number of chromosomes can be ditributed equally to each daughter cell produced.
.
2.Metaphase- the pairs of chromosome become arranged in the metaphase.
.
3. anaphase- this stage is important because it ensures that duplicate chromosomes or sister chromatids seperate into two equal sets.
.
4.telophase- it is important because in this stage the sister chromtids reach the other poles.
