Hey Mate!!
Here Is Answer To Your Question
✏Cell theory was given by Matthias Schleiden,a German botanist and Theodore Schwann,a British zoologist.Further cell theory was modified by Rudolf Virchow.
Schleiden examined large number of plants and found that all plants are made up of different kinds of cells which form the tissue of the plant.
Schwann studied different types of animal cells and reported that cells had a thin layer which is today known as the ‘plasma membrane’.He also concluded that the presence of cell wall in plants is a unique character of the plant cells. So he proposed the hypothesis that the bodies of animals and plants are composed of cells and product of cells.
✏But this theory however did not explained that how the new cells were formed.
✏Rudolf Virchow first explained that cells divide and form new cells(Omnis cellula-e cellula). So he modified the hypothesis and the cell theory now understood today is:
1)All living organisms are composed of cells and product of cells.
2)All cells arise from pre-existing cells.
Hope this helps.

Two Germans M.J. Schleiden (Botanist in 1838) and Theodor Schwann (Zoologist in 1839) collectively formulated the cell theory.
And in 1855 a German physiologist, Rudolf Virchow proposed this.
He gave the phrase : "Omnis-cellula-e-cellula".
This phrase means- All cells arise from pre existing cells .
Cell theory features :
• Cell is the basic unit of structure of plants and animals both.
• It is the basic unit of function as well as the metabolic reactions take place inside the cell.
