as we know that human control their activities from their nervous system but this effect them for a very short period of time hence another way of control or coordination is through chemicals which are released by specific glands they produce a long time effect , these chemicals are also called hormones which are secreted from specific glands to perform a specific function.

like pancreas secret a hormone called insulin which controls glucose levels in blood, growth hormone effect the growth of a person,testes secret testestorne which is responsible for moustache heavy voice etc in male etc.
