CHEMICAL COORDINATION
- it is a type of coordination in which group of cells secrete specific chemicals which regulate the activities of other cells of the body. In vertebrates the chemical coordination is brought about by endocrine glands which secrete hormones.
ENDOCRINE GLANDS
- these are ductless glands which directly pour their secretions in the bloodand their secretions are called hormones.
PITUITARY GLAND
- it is called master gland and it secretes a number of hormones .

#thyroid stimulating hormone----》it stimulate thyroid gland to secrete its hormones.

THYROID GLAND

- in children thyroid hormone are also essential for normal physical growth and mental development.
PARATHYROID GLANDS
- there glands secretes parathyroid hormones which helps control the level of calcium in the blood.
PANCREAS
- it's important hormones are insulin and glucagon which maintain the level of glucose in blood.
ADRENAL GLANDS
- it secrete corticosteroid hormones that have important effects in the metabolism of the body.
- it also secretes adrenaline or emergency hormone which prepare body to face a situation of emergency.
GONADS
- GONADS i.e testes and ovaries are important part of reproductive system.both produce certain hormones to the formation of gametes.
- testes - secrete male hormone androgens which is responsible for the development of secondary sexual characteristics.
- ovaries - they secrete oestrogen and progesterone which is responsible for the development of secondary sexual characteristics. and maintenance pregnancy respectively.
