child marriage was a very old thing that people used to practise as a ritual ...it was very major problem ... but after some protest big leaders like RAJA RAM MOHAN ROY who was a great fighter protested against this to completely end this... since it was ended at that time but even today in small villages or towns of india it is still being practised. ..
