Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are nontoxic, nonflammable chemicals containing atoms of carbon, chlorine, and fluorine. They are used in the manufacture of aerosol sprays, blowing agents for foams and packing materials, as solvents, and as refrigerants. (sorry..I actually copied this paragraph from google)(I'm trying to be honest with you...I do not want to be dishonest because tomorrow is my maths exam)

They have many bad effects on earth such as they react with the ozone in stratosphere thus converting it to oxygen ( You might ask that oxygen is good for us......but in reality with increase in chlorofluorocarbons, the number of ozone molecules in atmosphere is decreasing. Now, ozone is a very useful gas for us as it absorbs the sun.s harmful UV(ultraviolet) rays from the sun. These are actually high radiation waves which affect human health in a very bad way. )

Chlorofluorocarbons are also greenhouse gases which prevent the extra heat from escaping out of the earth.

HOPE THIS HELPS
