when water is agitated to soap the micelles lift the oily dirt. They orient themselves in such a way that the Hydrophobic head is attached with the oily dirt ....they remain in the form colloidal solution so they don't stick ..

The dirt present on clothes is organic and insoluble in water , therefore it cannot be removed by only washing with water . When soaps are dissolved in water their hydrophobic ends attach themselves to the dirt and remove it from cloth. Then the molecules of soap arrange themselves in micelle and trap the dirt at the centre of the cluster .
These micelles remain unsuspended in the water .
Hence the dirt particles are easily rinsed away by water
