Soaps are sodium or potassium salts of higher fatty acids
When we add higher concentrations of soaps and detergents in water ,they form micelles
These micelles pulls out
oil/ dirt from the surface of the cloth with the help of their ionic head
When we rinse the cloth ,dirt particles remain in water trapped in micelles and hence cloth becomes clean
