Basically we know that,

Kinetic energy of a body is given by,

K. E. = 1/2mv^2

so we get as

1 = 1/2 (1) v^2

v^2 = 2

so we get velocity as,

 v \:  = \sqrt{2 } ms { - 1 }^{2}

so, velocity = 1.71 m/s
