Hi.

Here is the answer---

________________

CnH(₂n - ₁) is the general formula of the Alkynes.

By Using this formula, the Chemical Formula of each member of the Group can be easily Calculated.

For example,
When n = 2
Then C₂H(₂(₂ - ₁))
        = C₂H₂

Note : n = 1 gives zero.
Thus, The Compound with n = 1 does not exist.

∴ First member of the Alkynes is Ethyne.
Symbol of Ethyne = C₂H₂.
Common Name = Acetylene.

Alkynes forms the Homologous series of the Compounds having the Triples bonds and all undergoes Addition Reactions.

The General Properties of all the compounds of the Alkynes are Similar.
They have triple bond.
