The coelom usually refers to the main body cavity.
it is of two types:
Acoelomates lack a coelom (do not have a true body cavity.) It is usually filled with cells. Pseudocoelomate has the beginnings of a body cavity, but lacks mesentery (or peritoneum). Coelomate animals have a "true" body cavity or coelom and organs are incased in peritoneal membrane.

A coelom is a hollow, fluid-filled cavity found in many living things, where it acts as a protective cushion for their internal organs. In some animals, such as worms, the coelom acts as a skeleton. The coelom also allows the internal organs to move and grow independently of the outer layer of the body wall.
Coelom types :
1- Schizocoelom: develops from split in mesoderm found in annelids , arthropods and molluscs
2- Haemocoelom: TRUE coelom reduced & cavity filled with blood found from arthropoda and mollusca
3- Enterocoelom: develops from wall of embryonic gut found from echinodermata to chordata.
