..

Collision theory, theory used to predict the rates of chemical reactions, particularly for gases. Thecollision theory is based on the assumption that for a reaction to occur it is necessary for the reacting species (atoms or molecules) to come together or collide with one another.

Answer:it is based on the assumption that for reaction is necessary for reacting speciecsto come together and collide each other is known as collision in terms of chemistry

In terms of physics....

collision it two bodies cone in contact with each other at different velocity and collide with each other then such phenomenon is called collision..

collision is divided in two parts

1) elastic collision : if there is no loss of kinetic energy during a collision then it is called as elastic collision...

2) in elastic collision : if there is a loss of kinetic energy during a collision then it is called an elastic collision.....

Momentum will be remains conserved

Pi=Pf

m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2

m1(u1-v1) =m2(v2-u2) .........1)

(k. e) i =(k.e) g

1/2m1u1²+1/2m2u2²=1/2m1v1²+1/2m2v2²..... 2

dividing equation by equation 1) we get

m1(u1²-v1²) /m1 (u2-v1) =m2(v2²+u2²) /m2(v2-u2)

u1+v1=u2+v2

v2=v2+u1-u2

solve it now by yourself it is so long ...
