hey friend here's your answer...
In any reaction if two or more elements or componds are combined together in the reactant side...and form a single compound in the product side...this is called a combination reaction. For e.g.,
H+O2-->H2O
or
H+Cl-->HCl

the reaction in which two or more substance react and form a single substance is khown as combination reaction
Example- CaO(S) + H2O(L) - Ca(OH)2(aq)
In this reaction calcium oxide and water react and comdine to form a single substance as a product calcium hydroxide
