Corrosion means the layer is formed on the surface of the metal sheets and other objects.
It is also called as rusting process....

Due to various components of atmosphere, oxidation of metals takes place, consequently resulting in their damage.....

Examples: iron, copper, aluminium, etc. reacts with oxygen in air and corroed.

Rancidity means when we use old, left over cooking oil for making food stuff, it is found to have foul odour...

When oil or ghee is left aside for a long time or fried food stuff cooked in it is prevented by using antioxidants. Rancidity I'm the food stuff can also be slowed down it in air tight container.....

Examples: Oil, ghee if they are stored for many years can be rancid.
