Corrosion is the process of rusting of any kind of metal or alloy d2ue to the presence of moisture and air in it's surrounding. As it comes in contact with air and water it reacts with it and a layer is found above it's surface.

For example -

When iron rod comes in contact with air and moisture reacts with it and forms ferric oxide on it's surface.

It can be prevented by some known remedies like:

  • Using alloy instead of metals like stainless steel, brass, bronze etc.

  • By painting the metals with paints.

  • By applying oil on it.

  • By coating of galvanized zinc material.
