explain D.D.T and B.H.C


Anonymous: BHC is the short form of Benzene Hexachloride or Gamaxene. DDT is the short form for Dichloro- Dipenyl- Trichloroethane. Both of them are pesticides for killing insects. Hence, they are insecticides

More volatile than DDT, BHC has a faster but less protracted action upon insects..

D.D.T-Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, commonly known as DDT, is a colorless, tasteless, and almost odorless crystalline chemical compound, an organochlorine, originally developed as an insecticide, and ultimately becoming infamous for its environmental impacts. 
B.H.C-Benzene (C6H6), simplest organic, aromatic hydrocarbonand parent compound of numerous important aromatic compounds. Benzene is a colourless liquid with a characteristic odour and is primarily used in the production of polystyrene. It is highly toxic and is a known carcinogen; exposure to it may cause leukemia
