Dandi March was a very important part of the Indian Independence Movement. It was a non-violent protest against the British monopoly of salt in India, and it triggered the Civil Disobedience Movement later. It was done from 12 March to April 6, 1930.

He, and many of his followers walked all the way from sabarmati to dandi in Gujarat for days
after reaching dandi, he broke the law by billing water and obtaining salt
this combined many different people to come together to talk and break the unjust law.
