•ARMATURE=it consist of an an insulated copper wire wound on a soft iron core .
•STRONG FIELD MAGNETS = the two pole pieces of strong magnet provide the strong magnetic field
•SPLITRINGS=the two ends of armature coil are connected to the two splitrings R1 and R2 . those rings rotates along with the coil.
•BRUSHES= this brushes are connected with each other through a galvanometer.
WORKING = when the armature rotates within the magnetic field and electric current is induced in it . the direction of this induced current is determined by fleming right hand rule.
The direction of Induced current changes when the armature crosses half ray mark of its rotation .
thus , direction of current changes once in every rotation. due to this electric generator produces alternative current.
To convert an AC generator into DC generator the split rings is used .
