     At the time of independence the death rate of infants was much as below the age of 1 year.

3.Low life expectancy

    It depends the total number of years that an infant is expecting to live which was below 32 years of age.

4. Mass illiteracy

    The illiteracy rate was much as compared to literacy rate.Almost 82% population was illiterate.
