The inductor.
An inductor (or choke) consists of a coil, i.e. a certain number of turns of winding wire.
To obtain a sufficiently high value of inductance, this coil is wound around an iron core.
In the same way, a high voltage is needed in order quickly to change the current flowing through a coil.
