Developing premises is the second step in the planning process. A manager is required to make certain assumption about the future and these are known as premises. Assumptions are the base material upon which plans are to be drawn. They may be in the form of forcasts, existing plans etc. Forcasting is important in developing premises as it is a techique of gathering information. Accurate plans are, therefore, essential for successful plans.
