a dihybrid cross is a cross between F1 offspring (first-generation offspring) of two individuals that differ in two traits of particular interest. For example: RRyy/rrYY or RRYY/rryy parents result in F1 offspring that are heterozygous for both R and Y (RrYy).

A dihybrid cross is a cross between two individuals that are both heterozygous for two different traits. Example, look at pea plants and say the two different traits we're examining are color and height . One dominant allele H for height and one recessive allele h, which produces a dwarf pea plant
