Dial-up Internet access is a form of Internet access that uses the facilities of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to establish a connection to an Internet service provider (ISP) by dialing a telephone number on a conventional telephone line.

First of all what is Dial -up Networking

→ Dial-up Internet access is a form of Internet access that uses the facilities of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to establish a connection to an Internet service provider (ISP) by dialing a telephone number on a conventional telephone line.

To use dial-up networking we have to follow the following given steps ↓

1) Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.

2) Select Network and Sharing Centre.

3)  Click Set up a new connection or network.

4)Select Dial-up.

5) Fill in the form given with the following and then click Create. ( you will notice it clearly ) .

6)  The Wizard will attempt to connect to the dialup internet. If it fails (for example, the phone line is occupied by a phone call) ignore the error message and click Skip and try to connect again when the phone line isn't busy.

7) Once the connection is established, your computer should be online .
