Compare the east flowing and the west flowing rivers of the Peninsular plateau. The Mahanadi, the Godavari, the Krishna and the Kaveri are the main east flowing rivers ofPeninsular India.

East flowing rivers originates from west and flow towards east. They make Delta at their mouth and fall into Bsy of Bengal. Eg Krishna kaveri mahanadi... Whereas a west flowing river starts in east and flows towards west. They make estuaries at their mouth. They carry less water as compared to east flowing rivers. They fall into the Arabian Sea. Eg Narmada and Tapi.
