if hydrogen atom is placed between two electronegative atom it makes a strong covalent bond and weak elecrostatic force of attraction of hydrogen atom of one molecule with highly electronegative of another atom (inter molecular) or with other part of the same molecule (intra molecular) is called hydrogen bonding
