there is no type of ‘inertia’. if an object (better say a ‘particle’) is not accelerating, ie, it’s neither changing its speed, nor its direction, in ie observed from a reference frame, then, it’s in a state of inertia. by Newton’s first law of motion, if the net force (effect of all forces on the object ie a particle) is zero, then the object, ie the particle is in a state of inertia, ie as said above, it does not either change it speed or its direction.
