The three important types of parthenogenesis are:
■Thelytoky: It is a type of parthenogenesis in which unfertilised egg develops into female. For example, Aphids.
■Arrhenotoky: It is a type of parthenogenesis in which unfertilised egg develops into male. For example, bees
■Deuterotoky: It is a type of parthenogenesis in which unfertilised egg develops into both male and female, It is most common in the insects of order HymenopteraHope this information will clear your doubts about the types of parthenogenesis.

Parthenogenesis can be natural or artificial.
a) Natural parthnogenesis: This is type of parthenogenesis naturally under the influence of external factors.
*In Honey bees, fertilised eggs grow either into queen or into workers.Unfertilised eggs develop into males called as drones.
*In some animals like Komodo dragons, the environmental conditions make the eggs either hatch into males or females by parthenogenesis.
b) Artificial parthenogenesis: This is a type of parthenogenesis which is induced artificially under controlled conditions. In some animals, eggs are kept under favourable conditions like optimum temperature, sea water solution, dilute acidic conditions etc.
