Permanent tissues are of three types:

1. Simple tissue

2. Complex tissue

3. Special tissue or Secretory tissue

(a) Simple tissue including parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma.
(b)Complex tissue including the xylem and phloem.
(c) Special tissue including the external and internal secretory tissue.
Here we shall discuss about the simple tissue of plants.
